With thin film technologies maturing, the poly silicon supply bottleneck broken, and solar thermal technology coming on stream, the potential of solar power may be greatly underestimated. Just how fast will solar power emerge to take on a significant share of global energy production? Join a panel of esteemed experts who will discuss this world-changing sector.
Points of discussion to include:
- Which solar sector will show the greatest growth and the greatest returns?
- Is the photovoltaic sector currently overvalued?
- Where do utility scale solar thermal plants make sense?
- How do installation costs and storage costs impact PV adoption?
- Where does government help or hinder the solar energy industry?
- How fast will thin-film manufacturing grow?
- Can crystalline PV maintain the price/performance edge over thin film?
- Are PV concentrator innovations a transitional technology?
